5 Names from Trakya University Took Place in the List of the World's Most Effective Scientists

While 1,150 scientists from Turkey were included in the list of the most influential scientists in the world, which is made every year by scientists from Stanford University, 5 names from Trakya University succeeded in making the list.

The ranking of the world's most influential scientists, which has been carried out every year since 2019, was recently published by the Netherlands-based publishing company Elsevier.

While the ranking published by Elsevier is listed in two categories as "career-long impact" and "annual impact", the number of qualified publications, the impact of the journal in which the publications are included, the number of patents, the number of citations, the h-index, the hm-index, the number of articles. International criteria such as the number of cited articles and the effect of the journal in which they were published were included.

In the list where the publications of 2020 are ranked according to these criteria, a total of 190 thousand 63 scientists were evaluated in the "annual impact" category and a total of 186 thousand 178 scientists were evaluated in the "career-long impact" category. In the list of the most influential scientists in the world, 1,150 scientists from Turkey and 5 names from Trakya University took place.
