Edirne Vocational School, which forms the basis of Edirne Technical Sciences Vocational School, started education in 1976-1977 academic year with 256 students in two departments, Vital Sciences and Social Sciences, under the Ministry of Education's Formal Higher Education Department. At the end of the 1978-1979 academic year, students were transferred to other schools due to the closure of Vocational Schools.

Along with the Vocational Schools that were reopened in the 1980-1981 academic year, Edirne Vocational School was re-opened with 90 students in 4 programs, including mining, electricity, business and accounting programs. In the 1981-1982 academic year, it was connected to Trakya University with the Decree Law No. 41. Edirne Vocational School was closed with the decision taken by Trakya University Rectorate on May 5, 2006 and it was divided into two as Edirne Vocational School of Social Sciences and Edirne Vocational School of Technical Sciences (ETBMYO). ETBMYO, which continued to serve in the Ayşe Kadın Campus until the beginning of the 2007-2008 academic year, was moved to the Sarayiçi Campus on this date. The buildings on the campus, which was also called the Cavalry Barracks, General Fahri Özdirek Barracks or Tunca Barracks, were built by Sultan II. It is known that it was built by Abdulhamid. In the 2021-2022 academic year, The vocational school, which has moved to its new and modern building in the Prof. Dr. Ahmet Karadeniz campus, still continues its education in 10 departments and 16 different programs.

ETBMYO is the oldest Vocational School among 8 Vocational Schools in Trakya University.
