HYBRID AND ELECTRICAL VEHICLE TECHNOLOGIES

Introduction and Purpose of Program

Hybrid and Electrical Vehicle Technologies Program of Trakya University Vocational School of Technical Sciences has been initiated for accepting students in 2021-2022 fall semester.Purpose of the program is to meet the necessities of hybrid and electrical vehicle technology market developing in Turkey and educate experienced and skillful technicians both theoretical and practical. Moreover by teaching such people it is aimed to provide well educated ones that are willing to work and study in that area. Due to high popularity of hybrid and electrical vehicle technologies all around the world,  the excpected percentage of graduated students that will be employed in sector is way more that avarage. Not only theoretical but also practical trainings that are developed in workshops are providing adequete skill, knowledge and experience about sector. Hence, graduated students will become more productive, innovative and self confident about hybrid and electrical vehicle market. Furthermore it is allowed for students who are successfully graduated from the program to apply for undergraduate programs by entering DGS which is done by ÖSYM to develop themselves. Students who successfully complete 120 ECTS and training that is completed in related field/sector for 1 semester are able to apply for graduation at least in 4 semesters.

Learning Outcomes of the Program

Students are graduated after develop and gain enough knowledge, skill and both theoretical and practical experience under following subjects: Basic mathematics, physical sciences, fundementals of hybrid and electrical vehicles, electric motors, charging systems, fundementals of electric and electronics, automotive technologies, renewable energy technologies as well as HSE, work ethics, problem analysing-diagnostic techniques and solving procedures and also using technical drawing and analysis programs.

Graduates' Working Area

Hybrid and Electrical Vehicle Technologies Program is an interdiciplinary program involving: Electrical, Electronics, Machinery, Computer and Automotive. Accordingly students graduated from the program can work under hybrid and electrical vehicle production facilities' production planning, R&D, design, assembly, quality control or other related fields. Moreover they can work as claims specialists in insurance companies or technicians in private automobile repair shops. As another option, they can start their own business as private or authorized service.
